Will GUNS N' ROSES Make Surprise Appearance At AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS?
November 23, 2008Dominic Patten of Pop Culture Examiner reports that there is a very good chance you'll see GUNS N' ROSES onstage at the American Music Awards tonight (Sunday, November 23) on ABC.
"Axl [Rose] wants to be the conquering hero," says one "well-placed music industry source" who has worked closely with some of the biggest acts in the world including GUNS N' ROSES. "The timing of the show on the night he brings out his masterpiece ['Chinese Democracy'] is too good for him to pass up. He knows it's a good way to get in front of old and new fans in one swoop."
This wouldn't be the first time the new GUNS N' ROSES has tried this kind of surprise. Axl and his boys came out at the end of the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards to perform a medley of the band's hits.
The 2008 American Music Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be broadcast live tonight (Sunday, November 23) at 8/7c on ABC.
